Designs for the refurbishment of the Narrogin Health Service have now been revealed, including two new birthing rooms with ensuites, a new inpatient ward, theatre, procedure room and sterilising department, as well as new dental and chemotherapy services.
The new facility will feature a striking chequerboard facade made of aluminium to representative the regions stacked hay bales. There will also be enhancements at the front of the hospital to set-down areas, carparks and gardens.
The refurbishment will improve access to quality health care for people in the local community and help in attracting, recruiting and retaining staff to the area.
Construction of the redeveloped Narrogin Health Service is scheduled to start in mid-2016 and is part of the Southern Inland Health Initiative, supported by the State Government's Royalties for Regions program (external site).
