COVID-19 update 15 September 2023

WA Health reports case data in the COVID-19 weekly surveillance report and our public health experts continue to monitor the virus, including through wastewater surveillance.

The Department also contributes to national reporting on COVID-19, which is released by the federal Department of Health and Aged Care.

Western Australians are encouraged to keep up good hygiene practises and to remain vigilant about COVID-19 and other respiratory viruses.

People are encouraged to stay home if they are sick, wash or sanitise their hands regularly, cover coughs, and, importantly, get vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza.

Keeping up to date with vaccinations remains the best way to prevent serious disease and hospitalisation from COVID.
