WA Health is reporting a total of 4,356 new cases to 6pm last night. There are currently 34,517 active cases in Western Australia.
To 6pm last night, there were 437 people with COVID-19 in hospital, 23 in ICU.
Sadly, today’s report includes seven deaths, which date back to 17 July and were reported to WA Health yesterday – one woman in her 90s, one woman in her 80s, two men in their 90s, two men in their 80s and one man in his 70s.

- This data is based on the residential postcode of each case. The case may have an isolation address in another region.

Of the 4,356 cases, 1,593 were confirmed via PCR test, the remaining 2,763 were self-reported positive rapid antigen tests.
A total of 3,999 PCR tests were conducted at either state-run or private pathology clinics yesterday.
WA has recorded 1,034,742 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
In line with national guidelines, WA Health has adjusted the total number of reported cases in this State, to preclude secondary positive test results within 12 weeks of leaving isolation following initial COVID infection.
