WA Health is reporting a total of 2,889 new cases to 6pm last night. There are currently 16,418 active cases in Western Australia.
Latest figures from overnight show, there were 339 people with COVID-19 in hospital, 8 in ICU.
Sadly, today’s report includes four deaths, which were reported to WA Health yesterday – dating back to 30 July – 1 woman in her 90s, 2 women in their 80s, and 1 woman in her 50s.

Of the 2,889 cases, 983 were confirmed via PCR test, the remaining 1,906 were self-reported positive rapid antigen tests.
A total of 5,623 PCR tests were conducted at either state-run or private pathology clinics yesterday.
WA has recorded 1,095,467 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
