WA Health is reporting a total of 2,145 new cases to 6pm last night. There are currently 12,507 active cases in Western Australia.
Latest figures from overnight show, there were 294 people with COVID-19 in hospital, 11 in ICU.
Sadly, today’s report includes one death, a man in his 80, dating back to 11 August and reported to WA Health yesterday.

Of the 2,145 cases, 498 were confirmed via PCR test, the remaining 1,647 were self-reported positive rapid antigen tests.
A total of 5,965 PCR tests were conducted at either state-run or private pathology clinics yesterday.
WA has recorded 1,107,738 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
