WA Health is reporting a total of 6,314 new cases to 8pm last night. There are currently 40,769 active cases in Western Australia.
To 8pm last night, there were 205 people with COVID-19 in hospital, eight in ICU.
Today’s report includes seven historical deaths dating back to 10 April, which were reported to WA Health yesterday. The historical deaths are a woman in her 20s, a woman in her 40’s, a woman in her 60’s, two women in their 80’s and two men their 70’s.
Due to patient confidentiality, no further information will be released by the Department on these deaths.

Of the 6,314 cases, 2,677 were confirmed via PCR test, the remaining 3,637 were self-reported positive rapid antigen tests.
A total 6,119 PCR tests were conducted at either state-run or private pathology clinics yesterday.
WA has recorded 287,652 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
