WA Health has reported no new cases of COVID-19 overnight.
The State’s total remains at 1048.
Fifteen active COVID-19 cases are being monitored by WA Health: 10 cases remain aboard the BBC California currently berthed at Fremantle Port and five cases in hotel quarantine. The seafarer from the MV Emerald Indah has been cleared of COVID-19 and remains in a stable condition in a Perth hospital.
To date, 1024 people have recovered from the virus in WA.
Testing clinics
Yesterday, 1188 people were swabbed at State-run clinics.
To date there have been 1,480,747 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 179,103 were from regional WA.

Vaccination
Yesterday, a record number of people received a COVID-19 vaccination – 14,234 people received a COVID-19 vaccination, of which 7853 were second doses. These figures represent vaccinations at State-run clinics and doses given as part of the Federal rollout.

Updated travel advice for South Australia
The State Government has today issued advice for travellers who have recently returned from South Australia, after a public health alert was issued, transitioning it to a ‘medium-risk’ jurisdiction. People must follow the advice below, effective from midday today:

While Tasmania is considered ‘very low risk,’ anyone who has recently arrived into WA from that state should follow the follow the directions on the border controls (external site).

Variants
To date, 108 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia – 53 Alpha strain, 15 Beta strain, one Gamma strain and 39 Delta strain.
