WA Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 overnight.
The State’s total is now 1,036.
The new case is a woman in her 40s who has recently returned from overseas and is in hotel quarantine.
WA Health is now monitoring 12 active COVID-19 cases.
Five of these cases linked to the Perth northern suburbs cluster, six to hotel quarantine, and one, the seafarer transferred from the MV Emerald Indah.
Two of these cases are now in Perth hospitals.
A man in his 30’s was transferred from hotel quarantine to Royal Perth Hospital on Saturday where he remains in a stable condition.
The seafarer from the MV Emerald Indah remains isolated in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in a stable condition.
The one close contact, who remains in quarantine, and 55 casual contacts identified in Geraldton and linked to the seafarer’s case, have all now received a negative COVID-19 test result. Additional testing will be for these contacts will be conducted over the following days.
All close and casual contacts identified in the northern suburb’s community cluster have also now tested negative.
To date, 1,015 people have recovered from the virus in WA.
Testing clinics
Yesterday, 2,969 people were swabbed.
To date there have been 1,430,735 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 174,354 were from regional WA.

Tasmania
WA Health has issued updated advice for travellers who have recently returned from Tasmania, after a public health alert was issued for parts of that State yesterday.
The Tasmanian Department of Health has released a list of sites (external site) that were visited by a person who tested positive for COVID-19 two days after they left the state and arrived in London.
While the risk to the Western Australian community is considered to be extremely low - anyone who has recently arrived into WA from Tasmania and has been to one of the exposure sites during the relevant times is required to get tested, then present for 48-hour and 11-day testing.

Variants
To date, 105 cases of variant strains have been detected in Western Australia – 53 Alpha strain, 15 Beta strain, one Gamma strain and 36 Delta strain.
