COVID-19 update – 8 September 2020

The Department of Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia overnight, bringing the State’s total to 658.

The new case is a woman in her 50s, who has returned from overseas and is in hotel quarantine.

WA now has five active COVID-19 cases.

To date, 644 confirmed cases have recovered from the virus in WA.

Yesterday 790 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics – 751 were assessed and 747 swabbed.

There have been 368,130 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 63,306 were from regional WA.
