The Department of Health has today reported the ninth COVID-19 related death in Western Australia.
A woman in her 80s died in Royal Perth Hospital.
No new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Western Australia overnight and the State’s total number of cases stands at 551.
There are now 523 people who have recovered from the virus, leaving WA with 19 active cases. Three of these are in regional WA.
Of WA’s 19 active cases – five are from the Artania cruise ship, one is from interstate and 13 are Western Australians.
There are 8 confirmed COVID-19 patients in Perth metropolitan hospitals – three of whom are in ICU.
To date there have been 46,167 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 8,163 are tests carried out in regional WA.
Yesterday, 508 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics – 441 people were assessed and 438 were swabbed.
