The Department of Health has today reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia, bringing the State’s total to 859.
The confirmed case is a woman in her 30’s who entered hotel quarantine to act as a guardian for a family member who is under 18.
The younger family member had returned to Perth from overseas and subsequently tested positive to COVID-19. They both remain in hotel quarantine.
WA Health is monitoring 14 active cases and 836 people have recovered from the virus in WA.
Yesterday 1393 people presented to WA COVID clinics – 1386 were assessed and 1385 were swabbed.
There have been 620,875 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 100,253 were from regional WA.
