The Department of Health has reported 26 new cases of COVID-19 overnight, bringing the State’s total to 90.
The new cases include 14 females and 12 males, aged between 18 and 72, who are all from the Perth metropolitan area. There are no new cases in regional WA.
The Department can confirm that 15 of these new confirmed cases have travelled overseas or are linked to overseas travel – UK, USA, Ireland, Spain (via Dubai), New Zealand, France and Europe.
The confirmed cases are being interviewed to determine their travel history and to identify their close contacts.
There are currently five COVID-19 patients in Perth hospitals – two in Midland Public Hospital – one in a critical condition and one serious – two in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) in a stable condition and one in Royal Perth Hospital in a stable condition.
One case has been discharged from SCGH and is recovering in self-isolation at home.
To date, 9130 Western Australians have tested negative for COVID-19 – 1153 of these are from regional WA.
