COVID-19 update – 18 December 2020

The Department of Health has today reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia, bringing the State’s total to 844.

The confirmed case is a man in his 40s who travelled to Perth from overseas. He is in hotel quarantine.

WA Health is monitoring 14 active cases and 821 confirmed cases have recovered from the virus in WA.

Yesterday 1,978 people presented to WA COVID clinics – 1,937 were assessed and 1,936 were swabbed.

There have been 596,371 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 97,714 were from regional WA.
