COVID-19 update – 15 December 2020
The Department of Health has reported one new case of COVID-19 in Western Australia, bringing the State’s total to 838.
The confirmed case is an 18-year-old male who entered hotel quarantine to act as a guardian for his brother who is a minor.
The younger brother had returned to Perth from overseas and subsequently tested positive to COVID-19. The brothers remain in hotel quarantine.
WA Health is monitoring eight active cases and 821 confirmed cases have recovered from the virus in WA.
Yesterday 959 people presented to WA COVID clinics – 945 were assessed and 943 swabbed.
There have been 589,756 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those tested, 96,872 were from regional WA.
