Western Australia has recorded no new cases of COVID-19 today – for the second consecutive day.
The State’s total number of cases stands at 551. However, 511 people have now recovered from the virus, leaving WA with 32 active cases. Three of these are in regional WA.
Of WA’s 32 active cases – eight are from the Artania cruise ship, one is from interstate and 23 are Western Australians.
There are 11 confirmed COVID-19 patients in Perth metropolitan hospitals – three of whom are in ICU.
To date there have been 41,241 COVID-19 tests performed in WA. Of those, 7,204 are tests carried out in regional WA. Note: WA has adopted the national approach to reporting COVID-19 tests, reporting on the number of tests performed, rather than the number of people tested.
Yesterday, 720 people presented to WA COVID-19 clinics – 668 people were assessed and 660 were swabbed.
