The Department of Health has reported 20 new cases of COVID-19 overnight, bringing the State’s total to 140.
The new cases include 12 male and eight females, aged between 20 and 79 – all from the Perth metropolitan area.
The Department is in the process of interviewing these new cases to determine their travel history and to identify their close contacts but the majority have a confirmed travel history.
There are currently 12 COVID-19 patients being treated in Perth hospitals.
To date, 9,948 Western Australians have tested negative for COVID-19 – 1,283 of these are from regional WA.
