The Research Education and Training Program (external site) (RETProgram) is the training platform of the Western Australian Health Translation Network (WAHTN), supported by the WA Department of Health to develop and deliver online research training courses.
Since 2015, a suite of online education courses (external site) specifically tailored to the needs of the WA health and medical research community has been developed. These online courses include topics such as Good Clinical Practice in Australia (GCP), Research Governance Service (RGS), Consumer and Community Involvement, Health Economics, Biostatistics, Literature Searching, Critical Appraisal, Research Writing Protocols and Mental Health Illnesses.
The aim of the RETProgram is to empower health research practitioners to improve the efficiency of the planning, design, implementation and translation of successful research that impacts on policy and practice.
