Tobacco control legislation

Western Australia’s tobacco laws aim to reduce the incidence of illness and death caused by tobacco use by:

  1. Prohibiting the sale and supply of tobacco products and smoking implements to young people
  2. Regulating the sale and promotion of tobacco products
  3. Prohibiting the sale of products that resemble tobacco products
  4. Reducing community exposure to second hand smoke
