Temporary toilets are now governed by Guideline for the management of public health risks associated with temporary toilets in Western Australia based on accepted practices under the Public Health Act 2016. The main risk is the improper management of raw sewage, which can cause disease. Proper design, construction, and maintenance of temporary toilets prevent contact with human waste and the spread of harmful microorganisms.
