Emergency Management of Sexual Assault – for Metro ED Workers

• A 1 hour overview workshop on responding to sexual assault in emergency departments. Suitable for emergency department doctors and nurses. Delivered at metro hospitals on request. 
• A half day skills workshop on responding to sexual assault in emergency departments. Suitable for doctors (especially residents and registrars) and nurses. Excellent preparation for doctors expecting a regional rotation. Delivered at King Edward Memorial Hospital two times each year.

Emergency Management of Sexual Assault – Regional & Remote WACHS Workers

1 hour video conferences are offered throughout the year and provide an update of the effective management of an adolescent or adult patient who presents to a regional Emergency Department following a sexual assault. The training is suitable for doctors and nurses.

Forensic 3 day Clinical Training

This program is designed to provide the skills and knowledge required for nurses, midwives and doctors to deliver medical care and perform a forensic examination with injury documentation and the collection of forensic specimens, for patients who have experienced a recent sexual assault. It is designed for doctors, nurses and midwives who work in regional and remote areas.

Several refreshers are offered each year by video conferencing, to workers who have successfully completed the 3 day program. Eligible participants will be contacted by email.
