Governing council applications now open
If you’d like help shape the future of health in WA, we’d like to hear from you
Expressions of interest are now open to join WA Health’s five new Health Service governing councils.
From 1 July 2012, Western Australia will have five public Health Services, each with its own governing council comprised of community members and clinicians.
The five Health Services will be:
- Child and Adolescent Health Service
- North Metropolitan Health Service
- South Metropolitan Health Service
- Northern and Remote Country Health Service
- Southern Country Health Service.
Health Service governing councils will be selected by the Minister for Health and will play an important role in planning, monitoring and reporting on our public health services, and engaging with clinical and community stakeholders.
This will make our public health system even more responsive and accountable to the community.
Expressions of interest to join our governing councils are open until 15 February 2012.
So if you’d like help shape the future of health in WA, we’d like to hear from you.
Visit the governing councils website to find out more about governing councils, the five Health Services, or submit an EOI.
